OUR MISSION
Creating Solutions Through Thoughtful Engineering

At Towers Highrise, we’re driven by a passion for innovation and a deep appreciation for the plant. Born from a need for efficient, high-quality extraction equipment, we’ve leveraged our engineering expertise to develop cutting-edge solutions that elevate the solventless industry.
Rooted in Southern California, we’ve forged strong connections with local extractors, gaining invaluable insights into their unique challenges. Our team of engineers, with backgrounds spanning biotechnology, automotive, aerospace, and industrial design, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table. By blending traditional craftsmanship with advanced technology, we’re redefining the standards of solventless extraction.
A WORD FROM OUR OWNER
Invention has been a central focus of my life. Coming from a family of both artists and engineers, I was highly encouraged to explore my natural curiosity for tools and materials. Early years spent in workshops and academic programs laid a solid foundation for a future in engineering and fabrication. After my family acquired a metal fabrication business in my teens, I was able to significantly expand my skills in machining, welding, and construction. With access to specialized tools, countless hours were spent exploring new possibilities through the creation of all sorts of gadgets, vehicles, and custom projects. I also satisfied a need for speed through other side jobs like go-kart racing instruction, hot rod fabrication, and auto mechanics.
In high school, I studied computer drafting and engineering, further broadening my skill set. Meanwhile, I continued to gain hands-on experience at our family business, working on structural steel contracting, automotive and aerospace projects, and even biomedical fabrication. I had the good fortune of having access to many high-end laboratories and clean rooms for all sorts of different disciplines. Satellite imaging technology, blood plasma collection, cell phone chip growing, and defense communications all use extremely unique and well-designed equipment in their manufacturing processes. It gave me an idea of the lengths engineers will go to create tools and equipment that truly do the job right.
After high school, I pursued mechanical engineering at Cal State Northridge, where I discovered my passion for conceptual design and 3D modeling. The time I spent there provided invaluable knowledge that helped to shape my career. I also attended night classes at ArtCenter College of Design, where I refined my ability to create visually appealing designs for products and vehicles.
In 2014, I launched Dylan Towers Design, utilizing tools like 3D printing to pursue freelance industrial design. My projects ranged from custom tools and machines to unique furniture, sculptures, automotive accessories, and presentation displays. Living near Los Angeles, I worked with local extractors in the cannabis industry, maintaining and modifying extraction equipment to help meet growing demand. In 2018, requests for custom rosin presses sparked my introduction to solventless extraction. After identifying inefficiencies in the process, I designed and built the first stacked Highrise press, which maximized production capacity by utilizing both the top and bottom sides of the heat plates. The Highrise press debuted with overwhelmingly positive feedback, signaling its potential to revolutionize rosin production at scale.
The pursuit of the Highrise press allowed myself and the team to identify other bottlenecks in the solventless extraction process—specifically, the tedious task of filling and re-bagging micron bags. This inspired the creation of a unique set of hand tools designed to streamline re-bagging, further enhancing efficiency. Today, I work to create innovative tools and rosin presses that form a complete system for processing large quantities of material without solvents. The goal is to set a new standard for the extraction industry that favors healthier consumption methods.
When not at the shop, I’m with my beautiful wife, our two kids, and dog. Enjoying family life, creative design work, catching a good sci-fi movie, and dabbling in auto racing all feel like home to me. In terms of career, I feel very privileged to be present in a time when we are experiencing such a shift in the way we view a plant that we’ve been using for thousands of years. I hope our ingenuity can guide us into a better future for the extraction industry.
